How it works How compatible Presence exists
A member does not need to be standing inside the exact store.
Compatible Presence can exist in five ways.
Already there
The Presence Member is currently at or inside the requested location.
Heading there
The location is already part of the Presence Member’s intended destination.
Passing near
The member’s existing route passes close enough for the request to add limited time or distance.
Leaving toward you
The member is leaving the requested location in a direction compatible with the handoff point.
Scheduled there
The member has privately added a public place they expect to visit during a compatible time window.
Scheduled Presence is private, voluntary, editable, and nonbinding. It is never shown publicly and never creates an obligation to accept.
Compatibility, not proximity alone
The closest person is not always the right match.

Only the minimum availability information needed for the request is shown. A member’s full private schedule, exact future route, home address, workplace, and unrelated planned stops are never published.
